Metaplugin offers up to 16x oversampling option of the whole signal chain in realtime mode, and up to 64x oversampling in offline mode (during rendering).
Of course that’s only the beginning… let your imagination run free, nothing is impossible, from creating your own layered synth sounds to building whole sound generators from scratch using simple modules.Īnother favourite use case for Metaplugin is to load VST plugins in Pro Tools (or to load AudioUnits in Pro Tools if you’re on a Mac). This means instant cross-track routing, mid-side, multiband compression/distortion/reverb/… you name it. To get you started, a Mid-Side matrix, a fourband crossover filter and a routing plugin are included in the package. Build your own effect networks with this plugin wrapper using any VST/VST3 (and AU, if you’re on Mac) effect you already have on your harddisk. I know you can just rewire which is probably what i will end up doing but just wondering if you can mult this way in pro tools.Metaplugin is a plugin that loads other plugins.
I was just wondering does pro tools have a way of doing this? does pro tools have a similar device like the audio effect rack in Ableton? Its a really awesome way to have incredible control over the sound source and makes doing some really cool automation to the sound plausible. Then with the macro you can assign things like a crossover frequency, low end frequency low pass, drive of the distortion plugin and top end chorus depth/rate/mix to marcos. on the high end mult you can add a chorus effect and anything else you like. On the low end you can add a distortions plugin, then add a filter plugin. then use one for the low end using an EQ and the other mult for the high end. On a bass synth, you can create 2 mults with the effect rack. you can then put plugins on these channels individually and then lets you set up macro controls for the whole chain. it lets you split/mult the source audio or vst plugin to several channels. I saw this cool feature on ableton live called an Audio effect rack.
